Whether you are looking for an epic photo op or just out to paddle the crystal clear waters, you have the best access with one of our kayak rentals. Hands down, King's Bay and Three Sisters Springs has everything a kayaker could want to experience including encountering bottle-nosed dolphins, sea turtles, tarpon, an occasional bald eagle or Canadian Geese, and many more varieties of wildlife.  Of course, the star of the show is our beloved, fun-loving manatees which occasionally roll over and rub their belly on your kayak, making this the highlight of your journey! Three Sisters Springs is closed to paddling during Manatee season which is November 15th until March 31st.  There are several areas including just outside of Three Sisters Springs to see manatees during those times.

Manatee Season runs from

November 15th through March 31st!

If you want to do more than kayaking and would like to swim with a manatee, then we have a "Swim With Manatees Tour" which is the best tour in town!

Click Swim With Manatees to learn about our tour here.

Manatee Season runs from November 15th through Match 31st each year. It is customary to wear a wetsuit, snorkel, and mask when swimming with the manatees. The wetsuits help keep you buoyant, which makes it easier to float in the resting position while swimming with manatees.  The springs are a constant 72F or 21C, so the wetsuits also assist you in staying warm.  Without the wetsuits, mask, and snorkel, you are at risk of accidentally harming or harassing a manatee. This can be penalized fines up to $100,000 or up to 1 year in jail.  Three Sisters Springs is closed to all vessels during Manatee Season but is occasionally open to swimmers during these times.  When the springs are open for swimming, you are allowed to tie up to paddle craft ropes outside of the springs and swim in.  This is a daily decision and is not guaranteed ahead of time and can be closed or open at any random time.  More updated information is available online with Three Sister Springs Information Center.
